Truss has got nothing to lose, she might as well do some bold stuff.

    Your new Deputy PM

I remember the stick Kenneth Clarke took as health secretary, and let's face it, he was a real politician.

Winnie Churchill: she has all of the virtues I dislike and none of the vices I admire.

According to the internet, she's only 50. She looks about 65. That's what too much booze and fags do to you.

So would an election fairly soon after the Queens passing be a good thing for the Tories?

I have a feeling they might just try it on a flag shagg ing ticket.

She’s not got the brains or the political ability to hold that clown show together for long. Her best chance would be calling one soon on the back of the funeral & the shaking of the magic money tree. Don’t think her MPs will fancy it though

We don't agree on much, Mason min.

Her political ability has just got her to number 10 Downing Street.

I don't expect to agree with her that often but I have a sneaking feeling that she's going to be a far better Prime Minister that people think.

Already, she's the first Prime Minister to be in office during the reign of two monarchs for absolutely ages.

You know the sort of s'hite we are going to have to put up with now though.

If she manages to look upset enough, statesman like enough, remember to wear a black frock and not trip over her own feet while laying a wreath, then her popularity will go up 10 points.

I’d be genuinely surprised if you thought otherwise
