Just small minded opportunism really Regis.

I just prefer to give credit where it’s due regardless of politics.

Great speech from Boris shame the thread turns into the usual left wing moaning.

As regards Boris, like him or loathe him, it was a very good speech indeed. It is actually a shame that he is a flawed character. I have said before that I didn’t vote Conservative in the last election but I have to say that I think that it was the wrong time to change Prime Minister. The change has brought about uncertainty at a time when that was the last thing that we needed. Also, in my opinion, the Sunak supporters have done the country a disservice in their tactical voting to ensure that Penny Mordaunt didn’t make it to be one of the final two; I think that she would have been a far better PM than Liz Truss. Boris’s speech, though, damn good!

What a load of rubbis about going off topic
I don’t think me or 123 took it offline by suggesting that no matter how good the speech was, how genuine were Boris’s words or sentiment

It was all about self promotion and Boris and most of his lackeys and just in it to siphon off as much as they can themselves or to their mates

I’m no leftie I think they are just as bad

It was a good speech BS but a good public speaker does not qualify a person for being good at their job. Thatcher was not a great public speaker and neither is Truss who has only just started. Blair and Sunak are great public speakers and could sell sand to the Arabs with their charm but both are complete p ricks!

That said - all of them are p ricks and in it for themselves. Come the day when there's a Robin Hood type of MP who gets the top job.

Never voted and can't see me doing so. The country is broken in my view and the great NHS will no doubt head towards privatization ( even those within say this ).

PS - many would have seen Boris for what he is but the sympathy vote is being played now because the public don't like someone being stabbed in the back. He was and it was a calculated stab by Sunak for his own gain! Sunak would have won the race but again many don't like a snake!

I’ve seen quite a few threads deviate, derail and crash over the years, but, I don’t think this one did. I can’t for my life see how the comment(s) about BJ in any way could be seen as disrespectful in connection with the tragic passing of the Queen.

BJ has always had a talent when it comes to words, spoken or written, but the words are only always there to improve his own situation.

BJ has, as far as I have understood it from a distance, through his actions treated the whole population of England with disrespect, including the Queen.
