Back in the 70’s, I found myself at some parties along with Len Cantello and Asa Hartford; also played squash occasionally with Alan Merrick at Stourbridge Tennis & Squash Club. In the 70’s too, I did some merchandising work at Mike Doyle’s car dealership in Manchester, he took me out to lunch and gave me a match ticket! A few years ago I was in the Unthank pub in Norwich, Iwan Roberts was in there too; when I said that I was a Baggie, he shook his head…….!
