My boys play at U15s and U13s respectively, and I've been involved with helping out both teams over the years, including reffing. I was astonished when my youngest was at U8s by the amount of abuse from parents over every decision that went against their team. It wasn't every team, but the ones that are bad, are bad.

I quite enjoyed reffing the younger ones because you can guide them as well, giving them advice on things. Unfortunately as they get older, the abuse comes from the spectators, the managers and the players!

I'm actually trying to get my two to get the qualifications as it's a great earner for their age. Some mornings they can ref 2-3 games back to back and earn around £50.

It's an interesting one. For all the T-shirts Re: Respect ect.
Football brings out the base instincts in all of us.
Maybe Notts can shock the football world, and come up with a nice pre-match ref friendly chant.

Your a nice ref, you are , your a good ref you are ect ect.

    OK, I'm realistic, after the whistle **** **** ***
