That Airport hasn't made a profit since it opened, can't see anything improving even if anyone was interested in taking it on. Far too expensive for some airline companies.

That's because of the extortionate rates charged by Peel to land there apparently.

Maybe the only reason for the likes of Jet2 or Easyjet moving there was the better slots and cheaper fees. The passengers would still be from the same catchment area so maybe not worth it?
