There was absolutely zero chance of us losing if we had enforced the follow on. Durham were never going to score the 450 runs to avoid an innings defeat and then build a sufficient lead to bowl us out in less than two days. Batting on didn’t ensure we wouldn’t lose, we’d already done that. If time had been lost to the weather it might have prevented us winning though. I know we didn’t need to win, but why risk settling for a draw when a victory was highly likely?

It looks like it won’t matter anyway, but the decision to bat again was a strange one.
