On the second point I agree… yes there is a cost associated with private healthcare and it’s like any insurance policy as I said, if you don’t need treatment then the money is gone. NHS waiting times for something we expect through our increased waiting times is free (not really as we pay for it via Taxes & NI payments)…

If I had the choice at 67 or whatever the retirement age is now, if I had a choice… between building insurance or healthcare what I would I choose / you choose?

Would rather the govt find me a place to stay than a long wait for treatment
Apart from hospital admissions (accurate measure of Covid's impact on the NHS) and deaths (whether inside or outside hospitals) what other statistics actually matter?

Hancock and Johnson used "testing" statistics (artificially inflated numbers) to persuade the more gullible in the community that they were actually doing something meaningful to fight Covid when in reality they were doing sweet FA.

Sorry but I don't really understand what you are saying in the rest of your post.

I still don't know if you are advocating preservation of the NHS or are more inclined towards the Trump/Truss preference of saying "f**k the poor, let's have more privatisation"?

No, I fully support the NHS & everything they do for us & clapped during Covid..

They are underpaid, overworked and under appreciated for all they do for us.

I was just saying if it is affordable to people, take the insurance route to take the pressure off them. I am fortunate I get it through work, if not would I pay if I could afford it? … yes
