Thread: Holding on to top spot (last five 5th tier seasons)

    Far too many twists and turns to say what is going to happen yet. I think that almost all fans would have been happy with a top 3 spot at the start of the season. And I think that would still be a good achievement. With our small squad versus the big $ of Wrexham we are going to struggle to maintain the current level of intensity for another 7 months and injuries will turn up at some point.

    I’m not disputing your point about where we will finish. However, our small squad has already had a number of injuries and coped. I also think that Notts will at some point strengthen if any of the injuries are significant. As it stands all positions are covered, with the exception of 3 key players IMO, I think we all know who they are and I wont name them due to fear of putting a jinx on any of them. For me any of these 3 would be irreplaceable if injured.
