O/T Completely out of character for Liverpool.

Rotherham is the safest major town in South Yorkshire, and is the 33rd most dangerous overall out of South Yorkshire's 109 towns, villages, and cities. The overall crime rate in Rotherham in 2021 was 104 crimes per 1,000 people.

Compared to the national crime rate, Liverpool's crime rate is at 147%. Violent crime makes up 38.8% of all crimes reported in the postcode area. The total number of "violent crime" is 48.4k, and this number has increased by 22.5% when compared year-over-year in the period of September 2021 - August 2022.

Liverpool does have the higher rate, but I'm curious why you've jumped between completely different metrics? Comparing "x in 1000" to a percentage of the national average tells us nothing.

E.g. If the national average was 50 crimes in 1000 then Liverpool's 147% would be 74 per 1000 and Rotherham's crime rate would be at 208%.

Liverpool is actually at 128 for comparison.
