Think the word you meant to use was fan....

I go to watch dundee. I have never got to sign a player or pick a team ever,so why would I want to pick and choose games based on the line up?

If I did that I would never go to a game

I also think that some of our poorer performances come from the players not having the belief that they can do what the boss wants. Sweeney is an example. Last year simple defender in a higher standard league. Great performances, inspiring performances. This year, club captain, play it out from the back and he is a shadow of his former self despite playing in a lower league.

A towering centre half in a team under the cosh will always look better heading and clearing than a Bambi like player with the ball at his feet with all the time in the world. It's a totally different proposition playing football when you do more than simply defend your goal. A lot of our players are being found out and it's the managers job to find a way to use what we have. It defies all logic to play Grayson and McGhee next to each other like we did Saturday when we had 5 actual midfielders on the bench.

We had a similar problem when Neil McCann was the manager.
He wanted the Dundee players to play a system they were not capable of playing and the results were disastrous.
Now Gary Bowyer also appears to be wanting the Dundee players to play his system.
Bowyer should remember the well known saying that you cannot make a ‘silk purse out of a sow’s ear’.
He has to accept the abilities of the players he has at his disposal and decide his playing tactics accordingly.
