I’ve hated many Aberdeen players down the years but I just can’t muster up the energy to hate this lot. It’s like paying £29 to stare at a wall. I’m just not interested enough in them

Goodwin comes across as a very arrogant man which wouldn't bother me if he was good at his job but on the evidence so far that isn't the case. A manager that doesn't know when to keep his opinions to himself is not what this club needs as outside of the inbred scum opinions are frowned upon as his latest ban shows.
We need a strong manager who has self-belief and conviction but also a little bit of common sense. While Goodwin was a hard as nails player it would appear that he can't motivate his team to play with the same attitude. When we are behind at half time, we come out looking like a side already resigned to defeat. Weak minded players with no leadership are no improvement on the last few seasons. Time to gel yes but the thing missing will not suddenly appear with the current squad and manager.

Agreed 100%, but some folk forget that red John said this about JG and Stewart in July.

Despite what some people's opinions are, Ramadani, Miovski and Duk are superb signings.

Although I am against loans in any form we have also added a couple of really good players to the squad.

So that is a job really well done.

Trailing around English non league football is a waste of time.

Both Stewart and Richardson are a waste of space and although I agree we haven't seen much of him, Morris looks absolutely useless.

Roos seems perfectly acceptable along with Besuijen.

So we don't need as many changes as you would think.

But even so, it's time to be ruthless again, get rid of the dross.

Really annoying though it is, I've sat through a fair few thrashings from Dundee United, fortunately I've also sat through a fair few thrashings of Dundee United.

We want five, when we meet them at Pittodrie.

Edit : We only managed to get Ramadani and Miovski because of Hungarian rules regarding non EU players, enjoy them while they're here.

It wasn’t out of spite that I disregarded the quality of Goodwin and our current captain Stewart. Goodwin was always a disaster waiting to happen as he doesn’t have any managerial credibility that was required to take Aberdeen to a better level than witnessed under Derek McInnes. He is struggling along like Stephen Glass and his team of coaches did when given the opportunity.
Stewart was a terrible signing…never mind as choice of captain. I don’t doubt he can bark out instructions to teammates but a captain has got to have a degree of football ability that the rest of the team look upto and totally respect. He is a bombscare and looks like he has the passing ability of an amateur player not a professional.
We need as high a calibre of manager we can get…we can afford it and in reality don’t have a choice as we can’t keep going with poor appointments.
Our chairman is making himself look ridiculous and as a result a large number of fans will not take him seriously. It won’t be long before he is another Stewart Milne joke figure as chairman. I find it astonishing that Dave Cormack can’t hire a better manager than Stewart Milne ever did…that is the realisation of things.

For our signings, is Goodwin actually chosing players he wants to sign? I thought the set up at the club now was that Goodwin manages the players, coaches and picks the team, but the recruitment is done seperate, meaning he has to work with what he is given.

The only problem I had with the summer signings is that we lacked signings with experience of the Scottish leagues. Now I know the sages on here will tell me that all Scottish players are shyte, but knowing the league and our game does help and does take a bit of time to adapt.

A huge game for us this Sunday, that will be a real marker of progress to date.

Goodwin has the final say on who we sign (and that’s the way it should be).

If Miovski had scored the fvcking sitter and then the decent header chance it would have been a different story. That sitter was as bad as they get. Then the left side of our defence (our strongest side) inexplicably go to sleep whilst doubling up on the Joots, not once but twice.

A dodgy penalty and a stupid own goal later, and we’re $hite ?

It was one of those days, some of the pant pishers on here over reacting as normal. I hope those guys were there on Saturday like I was and could see the fine lines between ecstasy and failure. Don’t get me wrong, I was as pi$$ed off as anyone at Tannadice. But that result doesn’t mean Goodwin should be sacked or Cormack should sell up (to who?).
Agreed that Richardson needs dropped with maybe McRorie going to LB and the jury is definitely out on Stewart.

Holy moly, a degree of common sense. We have some weaknesses but in general it’s a far, far better team to watch than we’ve seen for a while. Our defence is porous, no doubt, so on days when we fail to hit the target and take the lead we’re in trouble. But I’d watch this side over anything I’ve witnessed in the last 4 years or so.

Where I do worry about Goodwin is the acknowledgment that we’re short at the back (no **** Sherlock) but that it was all a strategy. That’s for the birds. We need to strengthen the defence. But if we can then I see no reason why we can’t start to put together a run of results. We’ve got the firepower to worry most teams.

Coulson is for me the biggest conundrum. Great going forward but totally unconvincing as a defender. Richardson is just quick but that’s about it. Scales is really the only defender worth keeping.

Most of those wanting the manager sacked have been wanting him out the door since before he arrived. Winning the Champions League wouldn't change their opinion on him.

I am hoping we make some changes to the team for Sunday though, as there are some weak links in our current line up.
