Very poor. No urgency or intensity at all. Even in injury time. Sadly, the young lad was out of his depth today but I also thought some of our regular starters were dreadful today. Defensively we were a shambles.
A very poor day at the office - as a certain chaser would say!

I suspect this horrible result will see a few old familiar faces reappear to give their twopence worth before they once again disappear#silverlining

Eastcoastultra is on fire, I wish he would get half this passionate when we win. Once.

Poor result yes, worrying for the season not really. Basically we’ve learnt what we already kind of knew. We could do with another option at the back if Baldwin is out for a while. Back up players in Francis, Mitchell still aren’t good enough. Our best 11 + maybe Baldwin, Austin and O’Brien are good enough to get us out this league but we do have a very small capable group of players. We still have the Roberts money so hopefully we can invest that in a defender and forward. Taylor and TAR as back up are probably sufficient for wing backs. I’d also take a another midfield over a defender and have Baj play in the middle of the back 3 with Brinds and Cameron.

If Notts didn't want to win this game, and I base that on the attitude and performance that I have just witnessed then they should not have charged us to watch the crap!
Some players need shipping out quickly.
Mitchell is a waste of a shirt, Francis was abysmal and the back 3 were made to look fools.
LW got this so wrong today and I know people will say we can concentrate on the league, but as a supporter I would like to see teams from a higher league come to The Lane and pit ourselves against them.

Wow… just wow. In a season where we suffered the worst defeat in our history against the part timers of Dorking… we serve up this tripe.

Well done Notts… you’ve outdone yourselves again.

So basically, today proved that we have a second string squad of players whose natural level is two leagues below the National League?

Having only 11 players who are capable of getting us out of this league is seriously going to come back and bite us on the arse. We are fcuked if we have any injuries.

Very disappointing result but Luke Williams picked a team that was similar to what I expected. They should have wanted it enough and been good enough to beat Coalville. I love the FA Cup and it can be a good earner so I think we have screwed up today and in hindsight should have included more of the 1st string from the start and hopefully replaced a few when / if we were well on top. Fair play Coalville and wish them well and a great 1st Round draw, we now focus on the league and make sure we hold on to that top spot. Come the FA Trophy we should definitely approach games like today, rest the 1st team and blood some youngsters. P****d off this evening to not be in the draw but bigger fish to fry starting with Friday against Maidstone.

What today shows is that we’re a couple of injuries away from having the season derailed and we’re going to need plenty of luck to keep our best 16 players fit and on form every week - because the likes of Mitchell and Francis are a long way from a top-of-the-table side.

I won’t be upset if we go out at the first opportunity in the FA Trophy either (after the initial frustration at losing a game). Especially if we’re still top of the league at the time. Roll on Friday and getting back to winning ways.
