Dave Gwyther, I remember the game against the Mighty Arsenal, when we walloped them at Millmoot, what a game. Last game Mcdonald played for Arsenal.

Yep Eric I was there too, it was Supermac's last game. A sad moment in history.

Good for MT for not baying to the fans and protecting Kelly from the expectations so far.

Nice interview with Georgie on the official site. Very grounded, well spoken young man and a credit to RUFC.

We have the option of fetching Kayode back in January 2023

Problem I have with Kelly starting is if were 1.0 down with 20 min to go and the subs board goes up, Kelly for eaves I just give a huge sigh and slump into my seat. As if it's the other way around I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for Kelly to smash one in.

I was chatting with brecks about Kelly last week. I believe from the goals he's scored he's a natural goal scorer. Any angle and any position he can smash one in and knows how to find that yard of space. Breaks wasn't convinced he's a natural goal scorer.

Thinking about it afterwards I guess a natural goal scorer is a bit of an insult as it takes away from his other attributes.

I watched his start the other day for mk and the lad is struggling in that side. Not all his own fault. The midfield is poor and the defence are like a sieve but he's not the type of player to make something happen out of nothing. I think he will be back in January and maybe sent out elsewhere.
Prob best for both him and mk

Agree and atm I’d prefer Kelly coming on fron bench early enough but Eaves will come good

ELK, not for me. Sorry but the lad is simply not ready for the Championship at this time. Seems to be a late developer and there’s nothing wrong with that. Maybe he can find his own level elsewhere so as to develop more and push on?

I for one can’t see him being brought back, if so it’s to go out somewhere else. Taylor will have seen enough of Kelly/Eaves/Washington come January and may well knock on Tony’s door for the promised money to bring that striker in that may well help more to see us retain championship status.

I remember people saying that Jerry Yates wasn't good enough for the Championship, I was one of them.
