As for the Lancaster, it was hit by a beam, kidnapped, by aliens and brought into space. They thought the oxygen equipment would keep the crew alive. They couldnt control the plane, it skewed around, eventually crashing on the moon.

It is in a gully, it cannot be seen from space unless you look carefully. It is there, with a camp fire beside it. A crew member survived long enough to make some tea.

I cannot believe that they carried tea on a Lancaster Bomber. The rest of that makes perfect sense.

No that is totally wrong. 6EQUJ5 is an expression of the signal to noise ratio of something that occurred in the radio spectrum in 1977 during its period of 72 seconds. Each of the characters represents a moment in time of that 72 seconds. Each character represents the intensity of the signal at that moment in time. The range of intensity is 1 to 9 and for higher intensity than that it is A to Z.

It could have been a transmission from an alien race. But it is famous merely for the temporary excitement at the time and the bloke writing "Wow" on the fanfold paper on which it was printed. The best radio telescopes have been set to the co-ordinates of where it came from. It has never been repeated. It is dismissed in real science.

SETI (Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence), Hat Creek / Mountain View, California say that they get at least a dozen signals of similar calibre to the "Wow" 6EQUJ5 each year. They dismiss them. They monitor millions of concurrent radio frequencies 24/7/365 and their software carries out numerous tests on signals in real time. A signal has to pass all these tests in order that it is even looked into by anyone. Nature does make some signals in the radio spectrum and the SETI real time tests rule these out.
