You make some valid points John2 but we don't really have free speech in this country do we?
If someone chooses to make what are considered adverse comments about certain subjects they are immediately labelled as some kind of "ist" or "phobe." They may even be accused of using "hate speech" which is a relatively new invention.
Effectively we are told what we must think about certain subjects and dissenting voices are pilloried and maybe even prosecuted.

Interesting post Derby. Who for you is included in the 'establishment' and what specifically are the various ideologies that are being imposed on us (against our will?). Can you give me some examples of what you're thinking of when you say that there are restrictions on individual freedoms and liberties. What impositions are you talking about? What are you wanting to do/say that you are no longer able to due to these restrictions?

And can you give me the names of a couple of the best of the books on the subjects? I'm interested to read them.
