Wow sidders, I suppose you think covid happened as a result of Brexit 🤣🤣🤣🤣. It was all Britain's fault and not the lovely CCP.

Covid wasn't Britain's fault, but Brexit definitely was.

It remains to be seen which ultimately causes the greater damage.

Oh Jesus, EP, I know you think Brexit was wrong for the country, but to even think the jury is out on whether it created more damage than covid is laughable.
I just wish that we could be the masters of our own destiny, but I fear outside forces will control us.

This all started with Brexit, it was madness. Everyone with a business brain said it will be economic suicide but oh no they were scaremongering, we'll just sign deals with the rest of the world. That worked out well. What business would make it almost impossible and more expensive to do business with its biggest customer? Even week one on the apprentice would be able to figure that out. Also as Elite has said before, why would anyone want to come out the EU who have introduced loads of workers rights to let the Tories and people like JRM make new rules? We've come out the human rights bill as well and pretty much outlawed protesting.

The amount of threads on here, pages and pages of it saying Brexit will be great and we said no it really won't. It was obvious for anyone who didn't believe the NHS lie and that the Turkish would be in your local supermarket in the thousands. Us who wanted remain and probably didn't want to Tories have got to live with this complete dog mess of a situation. The amount of **** remainers got on here for 'not rolling up our sleeves and getting on with it' when the opposite is true, we still get in with it everyday but with a worse standard of living.

I agree covid didn't help but would that have helped us sign trade deals? Would that have stopped Tories making up new, more repressive laws and new human rights bills? I agree I would be mad at being delayed by protesters in the road but I'd respect them for making a stand on an issue that will effect us all and the politicians pay lip service to but do nothing. Would it have changed sending asylum seekers on a one way ticket to Rwanda? One thing I know it wouldn't have changed would be Tories giving out millions to their mates to produce Jack ****.

Out of all the politicians currently in parliament, of either persuasion, who would you pick for Prime Minister and the key Cabinet positions?

Having done that, and given that we are where we are, what policies would you have to:

a) Deal with the fuel crisis
b) Deal with fuel costs
c) Deal with inflation
d) Deal with Russia
e) Deal with the debt
f) Deal with slow/stagnant growth
g) Deal with NHS
h) Deal with aging population
i) Deal with benefits
j) Deal with pensions
k) Resolve the Irish question regarding EU

What timescale would you need to allow for plans to become effective

Fantasy politics instead of fantasy football.

Look forward to some sensible and enlightened suggestions rather than levelling very easy criticism at low hanging fruit.

I said I'm not sure which will "ultimately cause the greater damage". Hopefully the damage from Covid is largely over, but I think the damage from Brexit could last an awful lot longer.

Maybe you could put me right by listing the benefits of Brexit.

An impossible question to answer, but I'll have a go.

I'm nowhere near clever enough to address all your points individually, but after seeing the damage a big majority can inflict through our outdated two party system, for the first time in my life I see a proper coalition government as the best way forward. By that I mean pick the best talent from all parties (I believe it's there somewhere), and let them govern by putting the needs of the country above party politics.

I am a realist, so I accept there is more chance of Forest winning the Premier League than this happening.

What and give the Tory party another 5 years in power? To overturn the majority they have it would have to be an absolutely massive swing. Even then Labour will probably need support of another party. Don't believe the media and polls.

I'm normally a Labour voter but they're utter useless at the moment just when you need them to be the opposition!!

If we, the electorate, are stupid enough to vote in this bunch of chaotic incompetents then so be it. Labour must stand a decent chance of doing better however much they fall short of perfection. I’m in my sixties and I have never seen anything like as bad a series of governments as in the last twelve years, and they have got worse and worse.

I take more notice of the bookies than the media or the polls.

Labour are 1/3 to get most seats at the next general election, the Tories are 2/1.
