I was surprised quite how poor Forest were against Brighton - they really struggled to string two passes together for most of the game. But there are so many rubbish teams in that league - Leeds looked woeful last night, for example - that you just need one purple patch to pick up enough points to be mid-table.

So, I’m not writing our noisy neighbours off just yet but their next two games, against Liverpool and Arsenal, will be very interesting.

You are right it's still only October but I can't see 3 worse teams than them. Even with Leeds and Villa (hopefully new manager boost incoming) in a real mess is there anyone worse? So far the league table says nope

For me they are dead in the water.

Leeds are in free fall and I still think Bournemouth will end up in the mix. Wolves have been turned down by the QPR boss and it's hard for me to disassociate them with the club that crashed straight through to the basement whilst we put four past them in three successive home games and even beat them away under Larry Lloyd. Not taking it for granted Fword will go down, still willing them to lose every game with all of my might.

Forest are done. There is no way they get out of this mess. Like Villa they have no identity. Forest’s apparent only objective is to not concede and hope they steal a goal. They have kept 2 clean sheets recently against 2 of the weakest attacking sides. Forest find themselves bottom having played most of the relegation candidates.
They have Arsenal and Liverpool in the next 2, but also tough challenges against Brentford and Palace. Forest somehow need 4 points from these games just to stay in touch going in to the WC break. I can’t see it.

The difference between their game against Leicester in the cup last season which was nothing short of sensational, to how they have been performing this season is staggering. They look very much a mid to lower mid table championship side.

Amazing how just a few loan players can make a very average side look very impressive.

But we have a few seasons evidence of that.

Be great to see Forest bottom with 10 points at the end of the season. Or am I being cruel?

Maybe not done yet, a good win against Liverpool and it looks like they have tightened up at the back😨
