Some really interesting comments regarding last night's game especially the tactical side of things.
Thanks
At our level the fewer passes made the less likelihood there is of one of them going astray. Vice-versa, passing out quickly or even a big boot cuts out the enemy's attackers and confuses their midfield, the answer is to mix it up a bit. Bromley's manager knew that pressing a high line can rush the other team's defenders into errors, especially if that other team are trying to play 'out from the back.'
We succumbed to that high press many times in the last two seasons, I had hoped we had learned to cope with it.

But the games I've seen so far this season we are mixing it up more than ever before whilst still playing nice possession football,.as I would assume the stats back up.
Obviously the more (successful) passes made brings obvious advantages and benefits in games as we've all see.ln.
I imagine coping with an opposition team's high press isn't easy to do but when a team adopts that strategy it generates weaknesses which we can and do exploit.
We've lost one in seven**** winning twelve , that tells me the tactics adopted by opposition managers hasn't been successfully very often at all this season.
I thought we really missed Brindley last night, looked far more susceptible to a quick pass in behind than we usually do with his pace there. Understand why LW picked the team he did after Saturday, but would be surprised if he isn’t straight back in for Southend.
Agreed
Nemane has more confidence getting forward with Brindley behind him too
Rawlinson dithers on the ball too much, scares me to death, Nemane is wary of this and doesn't get forward as much
Bromley best side i've seen at ML this season
Stopped us playing for 20 mins either side of each half
Don't know why they started faking injuries to waste time when they could have gone on looking to win it. Both sides missed sitters, both had claims for penalties
Ref was an absolute joke. One of the worst I've seen at this level and that's saying something
I'll take a point tho

Rawlinson looks much happier in the middle of the three, where he’s been excellent, than he does on the right. Both with and without the ball. I think in terms of the back three, if everyone is available Cameron and Brindley are the automatic picks in the wider positions and then the question is over Rawlinson or Baldwin in the middle. Rawlinson is better in the air and as a defender, Baldwin is quicker and better with the ball, depends what you need that day I guess.
We jut needed a bit of fortune
If rodders goal goes in , instead of hitting base of post just before half time, its 2-0 , and game over
For me just a fluke hitting the woodwork 3 times and not scoring, seemed one of those nights where the ball just wouldnt go in again , Bromley got lucky, demonstrated by them wasting time continously later on in the game
