World Cup break - good news or not for us ?

So good to have another positive feeling leaving the ground yesterday. Carlos has managed to restore some pride and commitment into the side and, dare I say it, the start of a run ?
Clearly he will use the time to enhance fitness levels, repair injuries and emphasise his style, but I think I would have preferred to have the opportunity to maintain the ‘bounce’.

    I disagree Prando.
Time for the new man in to have time with the players. Three wins going into the break will keep the adrenaline going for the players.
Rogic, Dike and a few others of the recent signings will make good use of this time. I think it is perfect for us and the fact that we have very few internationals on duty is a bonus as well.
They have four weeks with a new manager and with new players. It is perfect timing for break.

It’s typical that when we FINALLY hit form we could start negatively after the break. It happens. I can see the advantages regarding more time for Corberan with the squad etc but generally no one wants to stop when you are on a high.

boingy, check the league standings again.
H'field, who are bottom, are only twelve points from play offs. This league is behaving quite differently from other seasons.
It is much more open. Other then Burnely, all other teams have lost five six and seven plus games already and not even at half way stage.
Nobody is racing away at the top, nor is anybody been cut adrift at the bottom.
Everybody is beating everybody else. We could end up winning this league, such is the unpredictability this season.

It is a hard one Prando. When I wrote about it a couple of weeks ago my initial thinking was let him get his methods into the players, get them fitter and identify the weak areas in the squad so when January 1st came along and Lai had repaid his loan (yeah right) he would have a list of loans (at least) that Fatter Ron could dither with until his targets went to other clubs before he told CC "sorry we tried our best but...we were outbid by forest green".

Now having won 3 in a row there is momentum and that is difficult to let go of and as such I am with you now, as knowing our luck we'll pick up some injuries in training before it all starts again in a month, like Dike tripping over Sopoor or Kean Bryan ,(remember him) in the medical room as they are so anonymous he didn't see them, and being out for a year.

Nothing, replicates the first team game, but I expect CC to line up some friendlies to see if his methods are working.

Definitely need the break, we are paper thin in defence, only take a knock to one of the centre halves and we would be screwed, Semi will be back very soon and giving Corberan a mini pre season is like gold for us, absolutely perfect timing.

His methods are already working BB.

I haven't seen this much energy and fas, slick passing from us since Mowbray was around.

Even under Bilic the pace of play was slow up until it reached the feet of Pereira or Krovinovic, we had to put up with Sawyers passing sideways and moving at 3 mph.

This is like watching the Leeds United side under Bielsa in their promotion season.

It is a brilliant start, but still early days.

However, I cannot complain about 9 out of 12 points from somebody labelled a schoolboy amateur cretin Carlos the Jackass after 6 days in charge.
