But step away from the centre into the county and Derbyshire towns and villages totally blow Nottinghamshire away at any time of the year. Nottinghamshire itself is bland and unattractive whereas Derbyshire has some stunning areas. This is what our Nottingham friends forget that there is more to a county than a city centre square.
