    Offside is the only thing that is definite as far as VAR is concerned because everything else such as handball, dangerous tackles, penalties etc., etc. are open to interpretation of the onfield officials and the VAR official.
    Having said all that, in the Morocco v Croatia match a ball was a good 6 inches over the goal line when it was crossed into the centre but the AR did not give it!
    Unfortunately VAR is like herpes. Once contracted it’s there for life. Simply no getting rid of it.

    The introduction of the Transfer Window and the introduction of VAR, with all its Law changes are the two worst things to have happened to football in my lifetime. It isn't going to get any better either.
