    Interesting also on exchange rates

When Truss was in charge my favoutite publically funded broadcaster was full of articles about the pound exchange rate "plummeting" (and other similar adjectives) when compared to the dollar. It went from 1.14 to 1.11

Looking at it today it's at £1=$1.23 but same organisation chooses not to report that.

There is another schedule meeting for the 15th Dec when interest rates could rise again. Some experts are predicting another 0.75 points though others are saying 1.0 points... I have a mortgage fixed ending in February and the 1.75 I had will be closer to 5%. Eeeek 😄

Had a couple of Ssangyongs ( as I'm not a badge snob) for 6 years, never had a warning light or any problem. Plus dealership only a mile away hellaby. Not great on fuel 40mpg. Service a bit dear 400 plus.
I Don't know about the 2.2 and he's in his 80s so don't think he will be replacing it any time soon (ever). I guess it's strange how some cars suit different folk. I've owned fords, MK4 cortina, mk1 fiesta, MK2 escort x2. orion Ghia. Mondeo MK4 (st estate) and mk5..
A Austin maestro, diahatsu charade, mk 4 astra, and a sorento

From this list the astra was the most comfortable. It suited my style of driving and was like an old slipper. The most disappointing was the MK5 Mondeo. Not a bad car but after the st MK4 it was a bit numb.

What made me laugh was labour blaming truss for the crash and killing the pound but when it came back to 1.19 the comment was. The pound is strong but it's nothing the government has done, it's because the dollar is weak .. haha talk about changing the goal posts to suit the agenda

I was after a 2.5 V6 estate version though it had to be the Ghia X model and the time I was looking their were 3 in the country for sale. Grimsby, Birmingham and Glasgow. I bought the one from Brum and it was an amazing car. The best engine I've ever owned

Dad owned a mk1 cortina and uncle had the 1.6 laser Capri. I would have either in my garage today. Ow and cousin owned a bullet Capri that he brought back from Germany
