Coventry City fans who ordered new football shirts for Christmas, will be out of luck.
I posted how the company who had the licence to run the club shop & sell the
clubs products, had gone into administration, the company being the Elite Group,
to which they had the licence to sell 'Hummel kits ' in this Country.
With Coventry City not being able to get supplies, they have had to close their club
shop at the arena stadium, plus another club shop in the West Orchards shopping
centre in Coventry, because the club can not get hold of stock.
The club through the Elite Group started a long term deal in 2021, with the Danish
manufacturer Hummel, to run to the end of the 2027/28 season.
One way is for Coventry to deal direct with Hummel in Denmark, which the club are
reluctant to do, so have decided to move to another supplier.
Coventry City fans really liked the Hummel kits they produced, so some very unhappy
fans who had ordered shirts etc through the Elite Group shops.
