Sadly can’t make the game Mick previous commitment, otherwise I would be as usual.

I'm thinking of going to the match on Saturday and because I enjoyed it so much prior to the Stoke match I'll probably go to The Vine.
Anyone else going and fancy meeting up?

Sorry, Mick, although I’m going to the match, we are in hospitality for this game!
Stay positive Mick....🤣🤣
Somebody will come forward who enjoyed your company last time....🤣🤣
I might be going to the Preston game but not planning on a trip down before then. Enjoy!
Just for some historical information…
I first visited the Vine (many years ago !!) to meet up with Baggie from Stafford (and his wife) and Donny Valdo and others. At the time Donny Valdo was the WBA forum moderator. He wore an Albion shirt and the name printing across the back read..westbromwichalbion-mad.co.uk
Publicity at its best (Donny works in the advertising PR arena)
I’ve a feeling that Ketts was there and a few others form this board at that time-my memory reflective of my age sadly !
PS Donny is/was a supporter representative on the WBA Assembly.
It became so busy at that time, sp people moved to meet up in the Sportsman. (My first meeting with Ardbaggie, Albionic, MK baggie, Bedford Baggie, Northy, sonic, Coseley baggiebird, Baggieboy Geoff, Lincs (RIP) and WBA1955 and his son (then sporting a different forum name) and many others
Happy days

Sounds a more involved community back then...
Certainly different. I remember travelling to the funeral service of Lincs Baggie. He was a charming gentleman and several from this forum (inc Coseley BB, B’ham baggie, baggieboy Geoff, travelled to attend his Mormon funeral and, with the blessing of his family, put an Albion scarf on his coffin. A number of us gathered in the ground with his 2 sons to commemorate his passing on his anniversary for 2/3 years afterwards.
I remember the Vine meeting and subsequent get togethers in the Sportsman. There were also, the infamous Baggies Barge days. There was a well reported trip to Peterborough, I can’t remember if it was a cup or league match, and several of us gathered in a pub with an excellent selection of beers. It was in that Peterborough pub that Mick made the acquaintance of his friend ‘Oldham’…………! I still keep in touch with BaggieBoyGeoff and meet for lunch occasionally.
