Although I have been drinking tonight, I am consistent in my belief that we will finish top 6. Even though our goalies aren't the best we have seen at Tannadice, they are to me better than the first choice at Aberdeen, Hibs, St Mirren, St Johnstone, Ross Co, Killie. Signs that Craig Gordon is finally on the decline too....hence why I think we are destined to have a comfortable win on Saturday. Our squad is the envy of many a team. We are only 13 points of 3rd and times they are a changing. Will be singing my fat little heart out on Saturday and am intending on having the most Beautiful (Christmas) Sunday.
holy f uck have you been drinking absinth

I'm fk sick of losing to them and it's about time we beat them. Neilson has made comments to the Scotsman about how Tannadice is a place they like going and if I was Fox I'd pin that up in the dressing room and try to fire the players up a bit.

We need something here, preferably a confidence boosting 3 points because it's wins that get you up the table.

I sense a real malaise within the fanbase and Fox needs a result to turn that around and instill a more positive feeling. Folks are scunnered.

We need a really energetic high intensity. The players need to snap into tackles and give them no peace at all. We also need to be more careful with the ball when we have it.

I'm not a fan of Djoum based on what I've seen so far but I'd play him and ask him to cover back and forth across the back 4, just play it simple when he gets it.
I'd also be telling the midfield players to play into Sadat's feet and get runners beyond him.
Sadat, because when Fletcher plays it's too easy to just hit aimless high balls up to him.
Hoping for the best isn't good enough. It's time for Happy Hour 😄
    I'd go 4141

    ..........Eriksson
    Freeman Edwards Graham Behich
    ..........Djoum
    ...Sibbald Levitt McGrath Watt
    ........Sadat..

We've got options to change if that doesn't work. Middleton etc. Hard to leave Mulgrew out but as someone else said that back 5 formation was leaving too many spaces in behind and Hearts do have attack pace.

So send them chunts back to Gorgie empty handed ⚽️

    C'mon United 🧡

I'm honestly not on the wind up. Results not gone our way but we are a better footballing side than many in the league. Personally think Carson is not a great keeper but will accept he is certainly not far off our choices.

Things change, confidence builds. This could be a great stretch for us, particularly with the games for those around us. Couple of wins and we are 100% in the mix for the top 6. I believe our squad depth is better than others around us.

Not sure much will be done in January transfer wise but agree some ball winning is our area to fix.

Hope the Jambos get made eat their words. Should definitely be all the motivation the team needs going into the game. I like a back 3, but agree against teams like Hearts and Celtic in particular, their shape makes a back 4 a more attractive set up for us. Think we can match them in midfield. If they play Halliday at left back again, that is a weakness we need to exploit. Would personally be tempted to get Niskanen on the Right for this one as his pace will be an out ball against Halliday.

    Erikson
    Freeman Edwards Graham McMann
    Niskanen Levitt Sibbald Behich
    McGrath
    Watt

That is assuming Fletcher is not match fit, although sometimes feel we are too direct with him playing anyway.

Honestly think 3 points are there for us tomorrow

We are a better footballing side. We move the ball well. We are happy to go backwards (despite the groans from the stands). Much rather watch football being played properly than kick and chase pish that so many other teams play.

We do struggle with the final third creativity, but that is the hardest part of football. Genuinely believe we have the quality for that to develop though.

Understand the negativity. Understand the fear too, but honestly believe it will be a decent second half to the season.

Hope I am right!!! Guess we all hope I am right!

You weren't the scout that unearthed all these "internationalists" were you?
