FGR's IB has clearly taken over our interest as Solihull have struggled more this season and I'm surprised to say we've not heard much about it.

I think that's because IB left of his own will as he believed he could coach in L1 and it looks like he's failing. NA got sacked he didn't leave us and is still managing in the NL and to be honest been doing OK with Solihul Moors considering their budget.

You can call NA a choker, someone who can't get over the line that's fair enough but he took two different sides to back to back playoff finals, doesn't scream clueless or inept. Quite the opposite but why let facts get in the way#agenda.

For quite a while on here we got regular result updates, interview clips and p!ss takes on NA after he left for Solihull. Then they went on a great run, kept winning games and all of sudden we heard nothing. Radio silence because he was doing so well. It took playoff final defeat for the volume to be temporarily turned back up#viva

To give us a good chance of going up, we need to strengthen our squad, with another striker being the priority. We are pretty much covered in other areas. We cant rely on Mitchell to come in and score goals, cos he is just isn't any good.

The only striker that will come in that fits the model will be some loanee from L1 or L2 club. Which will therefore be a lottery. Still find the signing of Mitchell the most mystifying piece of business. Didn't we pay a fee for him. Sometimes the stats do lie.

He was a Burchnall signing iirc. He championed us to get him. Nothing against Mitchell but he's just not very good. Compared to our other recruitment this one didn't really pan out.

It was a very strange signing when you look back. I think we were told, 'He was the one we always wanted'.

Disappointed for him that it hasn't worked out.

Hes' done ok there but like the next one that came along he's simply not a winner. The one we have now is though.

In the longer term, unless he had us fighting for top spot again, then ultimately he fails. Nothing short of promotion at this level will do for Notts. That has to be a given and not up for debate.

Could be or more likely he's fresher in the memory and simply replaced him. After all there was a hell of a lot of interest in NA for a long time after he was sacked.

Until they started to win often of course lol
