I can't believe I'm uttering these words but ....... I agree with RedJohn.

I think that if a fitba team, any team, are responsible for your livelihood then, no matter your historic allegiances to any other team, displays of support for anyone other than your immediate employer are unacceptable.

Have to agree as well, it should be a stipulation in the contract that for the duration of the contract the player/manager/coach etc cannot attend games to "support" a direct competitor.

Footballers, at our level and above anyway, have a very well paid job and they should respect the very essence of competitive sport and tribalism. Whether they give their all on the field for us, if we then see them celebrating another team, especially in the stands, in any way shape or form then it paints a very ugly picture.

Would Sevco like it if one of their players showed up at Celtic Park to support them? Would Man Utd supporters be forgiving if one of their players attended Anfield to cheer on Liverpool? The list goes on and on with rivalries and it should never be tolerated.

Many supporters have had to miss out on cup finals or massively important games because of work/family/other so footballers should suck it up and accept they'll be missing out too. Being a footballer is a very short career so it's not like they'll never have an opportunity to go and watch their beloved once their playing time is up.

Yip. You've the rest of your life to be a fan.
Play for Aberdeen, you do not attend any other teams' games unless the manager has asked you to do so for reasons beneficial to the club.

Edit.. unless of course a hun win would mean us winning the league,
There was a 'tragic' earthquake centred under the stadium

Them playing each other is like the Iran-Iraq war, it's too bad they both can't lose.

I don't see how anybody can pick one of them to win, unless it affects us.

How about England vs Rangers? Again, England for me.

So, that leads to, is there anyone you would want Rangers to win against?

    Nope!

I can’t believe our club would be happy letting management or players go and support an opposition. Doesn’t say much for those allowing it.

I'm not saying it is right, but just feck all we can really do about it. I doubt it could be enforced contractually either.
If they were following Arbroath, Killie or any team outwith the cheeks, we wouldn't give a **** and possibly even dof our caps for supporting a diddy team.
