Newcastle fans…..LEEDS came for a point, they earned it.

Fair play to LEEDS they worked hard.

    Defended well.

    Looked better then Leicester….

    Says it all to me.

    You may be right.

I was watching the game with a glass half empty attitude waiting for Newcastle to eventually convert one of their numerous chances.

    Maybe I’ll watch it again…

I predicted a 4 -0 beating. Very happy to be wrong.

We are so much better with adams on. Really like Gnoto.

For 0 -0 it was an interesting to watch. We challenged on every ball

Wanted a point, we got it. Move on etc etc

We were utter ****, like properly ****, going forward was some of the worst play I've seen from us, just no idea, no creativity and no fluidity to any of it.

Hoping it is just a case of close games, **** weather and playing a well managed side. Ill take the point and run but that performance needs to hit far far higher levels or we are in serious trouble because that point was more sheer luck and good goalkeeping than it was resolute defending

We were poor once again but Newcastle didn't look much better even though they had good chances Meslier was on song again.
I expected more from them all the hype I was hearing even though I never watched any of their games. The result was fair. But keep playing like that and won't be long till we are crying.
Point is a point and boy don't we need a few more. 6 losses in 9 games still doesn't sit well with me and this guy is taking us down.

Nice one George, also had more than 2 days (53 hours) less recovery time ... but hey why post anything positive on here these days

There are some positives but lots of frustrations too.

    Pros

    We sit in 14th
Our GD is better than those around us
We seem to pick up points in games when sometimes we shouldn’t
    Meslier
    Adams
    Aaronson
    Gnonto
    Summerville

    Cons

Many teams carve us open at the back and we rely on them missing chances rather than stopping the chance in the first place. We concede a lot of chances.

Obvious weak positions haven’t been addressed.

We have regressed with the ball we had one shot in target yesterday.

The tactics and simple and easy to counter. Jesse had the World Cup break to improve things and they seem to have got worse.

Jesse’s reading of the game seems poor - he also seems to be clueless at knowing when and whom to sub.

He doesn’t seem to give certain players a proper chance - Joffy, Drameh, Perkins, Hjelde etc.

His psychobable drivel is starting to grate.

Teams will be analysing us to death so unless he improves tactically we are more likely to struggle.

The contract extensions in recent weeks are incoherent with our youth player to first team gateway policy.

Still no sign of any ground improvement - the work should have started already.

The full takeover seems to be dragging on forever!

I watched the game with my Newcastle mad son in law, who had dressed the grand kids in newcastle kit (Social Services have been informed) - at kick off I made your point to him about the recovery time and I did fear the worst. Meslier has impressed me to say he was reported as being ill with glandular fever and wasn't in the original line up I saw for the game. Problem now is the games are coming thick and fast, we really need some more fire power up front as the opposition can cancel out the likes of Rodrigo quite easily. Gnoto is starting to look better but he fires wildly rather than passes (probably as there is no one to pass to) I think he is looking for the glory goal. Anyway spam coming up next, they have lost five on the trot, the last against Brentford in a game they had the bulk of the possession and attacked well but caught out twice with simple goals

    West Ham are weird.

I’ve watched a few of their recent games and it doesn’t make much sense to me that they are struggling based on their personnel and experience other than seemingly a lack of firepower up top.

Hopefully it continues for at least one more game…
