£282 for December, at least I'm helping save the planet from a non existent climate emergency whilst getting fleeced.

Wouldn't want to be getting fleeced for **** all.

Currently pay £437 a month and now over £1700 in credit in the account. Asked for the money back and to reduce direct debits to £200 but to get that they want a deposit of over £3500!

So simply stopping DD till credit more like £300.

Having to rob them to get my own money back!

Some energy companies have been accused of using customer credit balances as their own credit card. People with credit balances are having to wait months to get their money back after their electricity and gas billing company has gone bust.
Recently OFGEM had the opportunity to include ring fencing the credit balances customers of gas and electricity billing companies in a separate account but they ‘bottled it’ and did not include this sensible suggestion in their latest rules.
In my opinion the big 6 electricity billing companies should have been left in charge of billing customers for their electricity and gas consumption which would have resulted in their customers paying a lot less for their electricity and gas than at present.
In Scotland both SSE and Scottish Power were responsible for both the production of electricity and gas and billing their customers for their consumption of electricity and gas where applicable.

Only one problem. The independent Socialist Scotland will not have the money to pay for this scheme as the £41 billion will be gone forever.
