Unsurprisingly I'm delighted we play out from the back, sets the tone for how I want to see us play but if I was the head coach I would be very angry with Sam's decision making on this occasion. As suggested this far out from goal has to mean put your foot through it regardless where it goes.

Me too… I love watching confident, positive footy but I’m not convinced we have a defence that’s capable of executing it for 90 minutes.

We heard that pretty much all last season, when questioned and asked for examples where it directly resulted in a goal being conceded it went very quiet, and those people were feeding on scraps.

Why oh why didn't Slocombe just boot it up field?? Plus why did he decide to carry on running into midfield after deciding not to boot it? The penalty was soft but can see why it was given.

Painful viewing ain’t it. Soft as sh*t penalty. We were fortunate not to lose it at the death too. That final long punt up pitch to set up that chance is exactly why Nemane scares me in defence.

Still, we didn’t lose….I would say that winning your home games and drawing your away games will win us the league, but it won’t this year, unbelievable!

According to Twitter, Slocombe is a 'very good' keeper at this level. Sorry but i don't see that at all. He's a liability for me, somebody that will no doubt make another error that will cost us more points this season. The huge problem for us is Wrexham have been incredibly lucky over Christmas. Chesterfield was rearranged, and they played a Solihull side decimated with injuries. We can't afford many more slip ups, personally i'd go and get Nathan Bishop, he was part of a Mansfield team that made the play off final last season.

Generally he's is a good keeper for non league level but he's being asked to play a style that he isn't used to after years of hoof it. The goal at Oldham you can see that he's thinking "I need to play it out to feet" When sometimes a good old boot it up field in the old if in doubt kick it out mode. If we had a young keeper like Patterson we would be flying even higher. Hopefully we'll see Brooks given a chance if we fail to go up.

Right, so this emphasises my point on corners.

With my own eyes and poor memory I’ve seen us concede from one of our own corners awful corners on at least three occasions this season. It’s probably more.

And yet we’ve only managed 3 goals from them.

We would therefore be better off kicking them straight into touch. Which is quite frankly abysmal considering how good this team is and how well they are playing.

Room for significant improvement. I’d suggest we put less players in the box if we aren’t going to launch it in there in any threatening manner.
