Just funny that your "optomistic" title doesn't match your views on this particular thread - though I too would be hurt being compared to he who shall not be named lol
Maybe - I have tried and tried to be positive about Jesse but it’s the exception that proves the tule - see Bielsa is now being linked with Spam

Jeez, a brand New Year & discourse of manners time.

Would love to hear from our resident ER Season Ticket holder Silentman (on here) regarding Leeds performances in general & his assertive thoughts ?

Most of my friends (25/35 age group) who go-week in ain't enamoured by JM's style of play for sure but in general are positive, particularly now our younger ones are in on merit & really play for the shirts that are now up for grabs. Most realise we're re-building but still require consistent committed players. Win or lose its still a day out to escape the ****e reality of earning a crust in tough times I'm constantly being told on WhatsApp.

Only able to watch tv snippets from our games this season - so I cannot really make the call on my overall opinion but if I was in my ST seat & travelled distances to watch, then I'd be slightly annoyed at some disjointed displays. Certainly in France Canal+ don't cover our matches much now.

My Dad retired (62 in France) in the summer and has seen most Leeds PL games this season despite hindering Tv kick off time changes, UK transport strikes & UK Border control nightmare queues & most in his North Leeds compatriots fans group of many years ain't impressed with JM, end of - sad as maybe after Cardiff away in the Cup will see him concentrate on other family interests & only the 'odd away-day trip' till season's end.

Maybe it's an age thing, financial for others or the reality of no more Bielsa ball - but JM needs to find results for the regular travelling support quickly & also for the tv audiences globally as its poor viewing in honesty, IMO.

Cheers for sharing MT and say hi to your mum 🙃.

Heard similar frustrations from mates who are able to get to games more regularly than I can.

If we get a LB and ST in the window then let’s see what JM can do with them.

This season about 1 in 5 of late, mainly due to work pressure and other half being immune compromised and don't want to add to it, financially crazily in this mad world, I am better off than I have been in a long while and will very soon have to work in England more, so have to think on working round that problem re going to matches.
With regard tv/radio the usual comment is they enjoy watching Leeds matches...
Ironic this discussion when last night Barcodes go to Arsenal and park the bus.. and their all positive about another negative display against a higher ranked team.
Where do folk think we should be 3 seasons in? Ive said already am not sticking up for JM but to go away to what was it it? opposition 14 games unbeaten, over 2 days less to prepare and here we can only hit on the negatives on here...
Oh and Tichi was right, my comment, Personal ??? was said tongue in cheek but I should realise banter isn't always well received or recognised on here... I'll let you dwell on the negatives, I must be easier pleased, never thought we would be in top 10 yet, so expect us to lose more than win and am grateful we've moved on from being the Budgerigars feeder team.. even with the many hit/miss signings overall am a happy clapper

I am envious of you being able to see games in person. It’s a goal to see one live before I die. I do think seeing something live is so different than on TV.

The comments on JM are a tough issue. I think many of us feel we have a lot of talent that isn’t always used well. I complain a lot but also do like the attack and pressing mindset. However, I really don’t want another relegation battle and it seems we are being drawn into it.

And what the f00k has "working in England" got do with the square root of f00k all? This country is back to business, full f00king stop, despite all the sh1t about the cost of living crisis etc. I ****ING LIVE HERE, I KNOW THIS, unlike many of those who post here who have not the faintest ideas as to what we have had to endure, and yet where we ARE, living a life as about as normal as it was before Covid, (despite flu epidemics that happen EVERY F00KIN year). Come to the UK those who are afraid, grow a spine and a pair and live life as it was before those "in power" thought it best to tell us what to do, when and where, because you know what???? IT DIDNT ****ING WORK.

The PL is back full force, no restrictions on who or how many attend or how they "dress", we have the highest levels of vaccination in the WORLD and we have a health system that, despite the demands placed on it by the hypochondriac population, CAN cope with what demands it faces, unlike most of the developed world, including the USA

Fair does and sorry if I misread the comment. Must be slowly turning grumpy with age!

I so want us to be so much better and don’t think we have done too bad with some of the squad recruitment.

Tend to go to away games mainly and haven’t been too impressed with some element of what I have seen mainly the tactics and Heawe’s use of subs (including those he takes off).

Being fair to him this league is a step up for him and it’s not an easy job.

I think my frustration comes largely from how much fun Bielsaball was to watch, I didn’t want Bielsa to go, people beyond Jease who seem to be waiting for something to happen in the background and Jesse’s tactics which often seem naive and easy to counter.

I want us to be so much better but to give credit to the current set up this is sooo much. Better than Bates era and the shambles of GFH. Watch some of the Amazon series on the first couple of seasons again recently and it brought back the excitement buzz which I think is what is possibly missing atm. Also watched the do you want to win documentary again and it reminds you how much we have always had to financially box clever.

The very big positive is the large group of younger players with huge potential. We could probably field a very decent team now of players aged 25 and under. Some of the. just need to get a bit more game time.

I used to feel the same going to watch my Ozzie rules team. Never missed a game live till parents sickness and my own cropped up.
I missed the atmosphere and going there letting off steam eg calling Referees Wkrs now you say one nasty word and you get dobbed in and kicked out of stadium.
I thought I missed going live and when dad passed a friend paid for me to go and watch our beloved team play in a final which I did and the amount of traveling by train 2 hours either way and the walking, climbing up stairs food prices the amount was nothing i witnessed before when i went.Ohh and losing didn't help made the trip even upsetting lol
I do not miss it at all and prefer to sit on the couch in front of my tv and I can see a lot more than watching live contrary to what people say!
