Today showed us we need some new players.

The most important incoming should be the £5m+ from our esteemed Chinese runt. Carlos Corboran may soon realise a feeling of disappointment when it comes to the aforementioned runt sanctioning expenditure on new players.

    FOL asap

I don't think today showed too much to be honest. I would like a couple of good buys but one game with a changed side versus a very good team who Tony Brown thought were better than most championship teams we've played this season doesn't worry me much. We could lose to them at home, and that wouldn't worry me either. Newcastle went out yesterday and they are flying in the Prem. Fielded a strong side too.

The match did show up the lack of tracking back to support the full backs by Grant and Diangana, that aspect of their game was very poor. People often criticise Matt Phillips (me included) but he he is always tracking back for defensive work. To be fair to Grant, he did score and provide a very nice cross for BTA to net the first.

Grant was awful for most of the match Kets.

I said to AL that I couldn’t actually work out what position he was supposed to be playing.

The bloke is the epitome of today’s “couldn’t give a fk” mentality in many.
