Reading between the lines, I'd say there isn't anything of substance to the Portsmouth link at this point.
The way he talked about the transfer window he's clearly having to factor in the possibility that a key player will leave and this effects how he has to think about bringing new faces in.

I have a feeling the owners/Williams valuation of Langstaff will be met and they know it already. It honestly would not surprise me to see Macca sold for 1-1.5 million this month.

No chance we get £1m for him i'd say more like £400-500k tops.

I'd like to think we wont sell him it imo is a negative move.

Personally, I think it more likely Rodders will leave than Langstaff…but who knows

No disrespect but that figure won't touch the surface. Birmingham were willing to pay over £1 million in the summer for Tshimanga. Chesterfield are expecting him to leave for around 650k this month. Langstaff is a better player and has 22 goals while sitting on a 3 year contract. Promotion is worth over 500k to the club, so to sell our biggest asset mid-season it would have to be over that figure. Let's not forget we got 150k for Roberts who had 12 months left

That was not the 'I am going nowhere', I was hoping for, in Charlie's post match interview.

If Notts get anywhere near £1m for Langstaff we should drive him to the buying Club ourselves. I'm yet to be convinced Langstaff isn't going trough anything more than a purple and £1m gets us 2 quality strikers, a new LWB and a midfielder at least.
