Not sure, I doubt it though.

At least our schoolteachers are good role models:-

Great way to get the children to focus on Calculus!? Or fake tits and huge nipples on a MAN!

Technical wasn’t like that when I was at school and we were never offered cooking, but I have learned on my own!

Had a couple of interesting conversations this weekend.

Yesterday I was speaking to a doctor who ( as head of some medical committee) told me he had a meeting with Sturgeon 10 years ago.
He warned her in no uncertain terms that the NHS had about 10 years left in it unless there were some major changes.
Suffice to say she completely ignored his advice.

Today I was speaking to a lecturer in medicine at Aberdeen University.
I said I'd been seeing the university getting some real bad press with their warnings to students about absolute sh*te like dancers " dying" on stage during a ballet and of course the Peter Pan nonsense.

He said although the press have been making the most of it, things were actually worse on a day to day basis.

A lecture can now never be a relaxed event as it's impossible to crack a joke, it's also impossible to ad lib your way through anything because the students report you if they think you've used the wrong word etc.

The worst offence is showing any image of a dead body or surgery without giving them all a specific warning first.
This is a medicine course mind.

If you're thinking of being run over anytime soon you better give the next generation of medics a written warning a few days in advance.
We wouldn't want to upset the wee angels with anything unforeseen now would we?

All decent people are "Woke" fairness equality inat, But then there is extreme Wokeness /Culture cancel etc. That's Mason's world, wokeness to the point of suffocating our ability to engage objectively and constructively with subjects that desperately call for shadiness not Binary or black and white, Mason's opinions delivered with an arrogance that's sometimes breath taking. Given your friend's experience DD it most definitely stops them from participating in a public life that calls for the ability to see two contradictory views at the same time. The thing is now you can now be arrested and jailed if you object to a Man with a c0ck and beard naked in a changing room exposing himself to your 6 year old daughter. That's extreme wokeness That's Masons world

    The thing is
These folk are leaving their jobs in big numbers because they refuse to work in Mason’s World.
Can’t do their jobs properly so just pack it in.

Then after a year or so, go back as a locum and make more money working 2 days a week than they ever made full time.

In optics we do visual field screening
It’s a check for the early stages of glaucoma.

It’s known as “doing someone’s fields”

Is this going to upset someone now because we are now told that “field” is racist?

Because every time I hear the word “field” it reminds me of black slaves forced to work there.

    Mason’s world

Better check with him before you get up in the morning to make sure that you know which words are still allowed that day.

I had an interesting experience today. I went to the timber yard for a couple of new floor boards. The woman who was doing the wood cutting service had clearly been a man until recently. She was happy as Larry and, despite my not so great grasp of German, having a good bit of banter with her colleagues in the yard.

Made me think how good it was to see people, in what you would assume to be a stereotypically environment of toxic masculinity, could actually accept their friend and colleague for how she wanted to live her life and continue to have a good laugh with her.

Also made me think, if donsdaft was there with me, would he have gone through with his online bravado and stood there and openly "laugh(ed) and point(ed) at the weirdo". Or would he be a fearty like the gobby pathetic playground bully he is and have a rant once at a safe distance from her yardy colleagues.

Rhetorical or not, the World that we know it has indeed gone crazy - equality laws dictate that these “types” are fully protected, but on a serious note I hope it wasn’t a McGuigans red … I’m on the white tonight, not racist though Mason, it was red last night and it’ll be beers 🍺 tomorrow, but only a few as I need to work to pay for Sturgeon’s spending policies and to feed my family with anything that’s left.
