Here are the votes of the Griff household. My wife and daughter prefer the Eva Cassidy version while I like Christine McVie’s. Both have superb voices so a lot of it came down to the backing track, which my wife preferred, or growing up with and doing dance classes accompanied by Eva Cassidy in the case of my daughter. Good question though. What do others think?

What would people consider to be the definitive cover version,the cover to beat all covers?
I used to think that it was Joe Cockers With A Little Help From My Friends or maybe Sinead O Connors Nothing Compares To You but now I'm settled with Johnny Cashs working of Hurt

Yeah the video was shot just after a storm/hurricane had wrecked the House of Cash museum,that's why there's gold discs etc on the floor,June Carter looks so old in that video and it wasn't long after that she passed away,at least Johnny went out on a high with Rick Rubens help
