He was also driving delivery vans a couple of years ago. He’ll rinse the club for as much as he can. That’s on Cormack

    Was thinking exactly the same
As an employee why aren’t there performance targets set where if not met then following appropriate disciplinary measures sacking at no cost be the norm?
Losing to a Junior club is definitely into Gross Misconduct

Conduct is more to do with acting in an inappropriate manner, outwith the job description (eg, grabbing the tea lady by the f**** or calling Cormack a c***, rather than an employee’s ABILITY to do the job. Losing to Darvel isn’t therefore a conduct issue and to dismiss for that reason would be automatically deemed unfair. The Club can, however, agree a severance package and have Goodwin sign a Compromise Agreement but AFC will have to pay off the remainder of his contract, unless JG agrees to a lesser financial settlement, which would be unlikely. These would ordinarily contain a Confidentiality Clause, so I guess we’ll never know how these are ultimately settled!

There was a guy from ABZ podcast interviewed on TV, He made a point of saying getting rid of Goodwin would not stop the malaise at the club. The structure under Cormark is not fit for purpose. Seem's its not only JG who is totally out of his depth. More worrying than first though if any truth in that. Perhaps its actually Cormark we need to get rid of ! Tall order where to start on that one ???

Both JG and DC come across as “my way or the high way” types!? We’re doomed!

So as I type Darvel Vs Aberdeen is being covered on the BBC national news.

Not Reporting Scotland, the UK wide BBC news.

We will never live this down. Like the huns dying, this will be cursed up to the support for all time.

    Yet Cormack still hasn’t acted.

Its beyond scandalous. Its a fuucking war crime…

    Board meeting today apparently.

    Shouldn’t be a long one.

I’ll be extremely generous and say Cormack has wanted to compare notes with the board and get his ducks in a row re a plan for the temporary and permanent replacement before firing the charlatan.

If he’s not gone today, then there’s no coming back from this for Cormack either. Boycotts would then be needed.

The DoF better be moved on too though Goodwin’s the priority

So, Davie boy, the plan should be:

    1) Remove Goodwin install temp
    2) Remove DoF
    3) Start a full and thorough recruitment process for a new manager & DoF with an actual track record to run the football side
    4) Appoint a CEO to oversee all club operations if he’s gonna bide in the US.

That might just start to repair the damage…

He's mentally assaulted the Red Army by his team selection and tactics . And continuing to play his chosen players that we have been screaming are incapable of defending

If that doesn't technically qualify as Gross Misconduct, let's go for extreme domestic abuse.

Either way he should be out. .

It's just not on ? Honourable man would have resigned right after the Darvel game finished

He knows it , and we know it. There is NO coming back from that result.

Who is in charge of contracts at the club?

I (like many others on here I'm sure) went through periods in Construction/Engineering where if, say, Woodgroup lost contract then you changed shirt/overalls and joined AMEC. If you weren't required you were out on your erse. OK we all signed up and knew the rules so, generally, it worked but if it's free market economics it's the way the cookie crumbles?

As Mason said he was driving a van a year or two ago so hardly in a position to play hardball. Why aren't the contracts more insentivised?

Win the league $1m (aye ok), The Cup ($200k) rather than fck up and it costs us?

Perhaps it's like those 'lean sigma' consultants they get in - the closer to the top of the food chain the more the advantage to the Employer? If that's the case Mr. Cormack why are names like Martindale and Lennon appearing on these pages - that's bottom dweller speak to me.
