I’m starting to think the spiv wants us to shift Goodwin. That statement is saying we know hes shyte & if hes shyte again, he’s in trouble. If Goodwin had any professional pride, he wouldn’t work under that. Is he hoping the fans get him to resign?

“Football monitoring board????? WTF’s one of them, then??????

    The Herald…….
Jim Goodwin to stay as Aberdeen boss but receives stern board warning

The Pittodrie boss was given a vote of confidence by Dave Cormack but warned there is an expectation of an "immediate response" from the boardroom.

Goodwin's position as manager came under further scrutiny after Monday night's defeat to Darvel - who are 56 spots below Aberdeen.

The Aberdeen manager had already endured a torrid run of form with just one win in the last nine outings before the "humiliating" defeat to minnows Darvel.

The Pittodrie football monitoring board met this afternoon to discuss the situation and had a "full and frank meeting with Jim".

Goodwin was backed by the board to continue in his post ahead of the weekend trip to Easter Road to take on Hibs - with Lee Johnson also under pressure.

But, chairman Cormack warned there must be an immediate improvement from Goodwin's side.

A statement from Cormack read: “We all recognise that Monday’s disastrous result in the Scottish Cup was totally unacceptable.

"It added insult to injury after such a poor result against Hearts, following what was a strong performance in the semi-final against Rangers at Hampden.

“The football monitoring board, comprising Stewart Milne, Willie Garner, Steven Gunn and me, have now had a full and frank meeting with Jim.

"It wasn’t an easy conversation, but necessary after the overall poor results since the World Cup break.

“From our wider discussions over the last two days, we believe that the senior players and the squad are behind the manager.

"Combined with our discussions at today’s meeting, Jim will be in the dug-out on Saturday.

"However, to be clear, Jim has been left in no doubt that the Board and the fans are seeking an immediate response from him and the players.”

AFC issued some quite incredible statements under the Milne regime. But this one is even more proposterous.

    Wtf?

No no no. Who do they think they are?

“ "Combined with our discussions at today’s meeting, Jim will be in the dug-out on Saturday.”

This wording implies he is he going to be keeping these discussions in a little man bag and looking at them furtively when not stroking his arrogant chin.

    Beyond belief.

What exactly does he have to do to get sacked ?

So we go into the next game and no doubt play the liability of a Captain who has been sent of twice in four games for stupid brainless straight red cards. And only one other centre half( who was sent off last time at Easter rd. Unfair, I know). Along with a left back who also cannot defend

And the possibility ge will also not play Shinnie and any other boy who has told him home truths ?

Oh aye , this is just pure ****e.

The immediate response the fans wanted was for him to f... off from our club.Cormack should be reading the stands not the room.
Anyone know how many points we need to avoid relegation? That's all the season has left for me now
