Seven of those nine played again today and duly gave the Sheep their first win in six. The Sheep also scored more goals today than they had in their previous five games.

That's no the point i'm making though. They are a fan run club who obviously do not want relegated but found the money to fund 9 players. We are owned by a multi millionaire who was handed a £3,000,000 windfall and signed no one.Its an FN disgrace.

I dont think there was spending during the wondow as the owner somply doesnt have the confidence in the club/team to deliver, wheter thats TA or Fox.

That windfall not happening until right at the end of the transfer window.

We must have had money...we moved on 11 players off the books..granted most of them were loans...but that must have freed up at least 10k a week in wages! To hear our manager saying that we are looking a little thread bare after yesterdays game, just shows how catastrophic our window has been. Also hearing that Behich is away home due to a personal issue and won't be back and might not be back for some time, McGrath being injured, Pawlett being injured again! We have made the chance of survival very difficult for ourselves.

I'm led to believe any January's transfers hinged on the Souttar deal. The fact that happened with an hour to go, screwed any chance of getting anything done. We are massively over budget this season and it looks like the owner has decided enough is enough.

    Fair enough.

Imo, they should have put their money to better use and used it to remove the manager. Pointless bringing in nine players if you have a manager that can't get them playing.

It depends on the terms of the loan if there is any money into the club on the back of it. I'd imagine young players going on loan for instance do so with no payments from the destination clubs as it is of benefit to us in terms of their development. The Watt move will have for sure but again it was done very late in the day.

If it's true about Behich then that's a real curve ball that we can do nothing about, especially given the timing.

The head coach moaning about having a thin squad is bizarre in terms of the timing. He knows we can do little about it now so makes me wonder; what's he up to?

We've lost Harkes, Pawlett, McGrath and now the option to recall Meekison from the middle of the park, in the space of the week. His comment is more about that than anything else.

This is most likely. It probably happened very early season though rather than recently and the transfer window inactivity will be a consequence of that.
