The whole build is not Grade 1 listed.
Only the facade of the building is Grade 1 listed.
The internals of the building have been remodelled many times over it's history. So the facade can be taken down, moved to Beamish or another location in Newcastle and rebuilt. The rear terrace of the building can remain in place. This would then allow for a complete stadium upgrade to enclose all 4 sides the same as the Milburn stand.
The cost will be high but the returns for the club will pay for itself. Potentially taking the capacity to around 90-95,000 seats. Possibly with Safe standing we can get too a capacity of 100,000!
