As a left-wing internationalist WEF-adjacent* Notts supporter, all I can say is you would be surprised what a lonely place it is.

    * been to the WEF, been to Davos**, but not been to the WEF at Davos

The WEF appears to be what the nutters blame for all our ills now they can’t blame the EU anymore.

It was especially eye-opening to read about the freak-outs around 15 minute cities, which are basically "don't turn into suburban America".

You mean where you get fined if you leave that area more than twice a week, sounds delightful.

If NCMAD had existed in the 1950s and 1960s, there would have been a fair few on here sticking up for and supporting communism. In the 1930s, there'd be some explaining to us why Nazism will be a good thing.
As I often say, some people will only learn the hard way.

Nah… the poor in the UK didn’t do Nazism in the 30s… only the crown and aristocrats.

But seriously, we’re on the verge of WW3 and there are people seriously claiming that the WEF/Davos establishment (ie… the rich) are somehow colluding to form a world government (NWO). Ffs… we have Putin, thinking he’s Peter the phucking Great, Kim Jong-un, who’s apparently reincarnation of god, Boris “shapeshifter” Johnson, who thinks he’s Churchill and Joe Biden, a dementia sufferer, who thinks he’s young and fit. I won’t mention the lunatic in the USA, waiting in the wings again.

Yup… it sounds like a concerted effort from all nations to bring peace and stability to the planet and to stop our inevitable extinction.

    Paradise lost

Where you get fined if you leave that area by private car more than twice a week by driving straight through the centre and not out to the ring road.

Ways you can leave without getting fined:
    On foot
    By bike
    By motorbike
    By moped
    By bus
    By taxi
    By canoe
    In a van
    On rollerskates
    On a skateboard
    In an car club car
In any kind of car if you are disabled
    In a hearse
In any kind of car if you just drive out to the ring road

    Absolute fascism.
