Any MacHiavellianpopulist can offer a not-for-profit national energy company, lower class sizes, action on drug deaths, the dualling of the A9 and A96, a replacement for “the unfair Council Tax”, the re-instatement of Insch Hospital, reliable sea transport for the Western Isles, and pie suppers in the sky (©️ Bryan McNeill) to obtain votes.
The mystery is why the intelligent electorate we are told we have up here in the tundra, continued to vote for cerebrally-limited nodding dog candidates when such undertakings and offers have disappeared on the vote being delivered, generally because delivery of such promises is too difficult given the limited capabilities of the chancers, charlatans, and shoe-in careerists sent to both parliaments.
And that’s fit I think.
