After 5 matches my assessment of Birighitti is that whilst he can distribute the ball well and be mobile he is seriously deficient at stopping shots and dealing with crosses

Livi shot was a type that I reckon 50% of top level keepers would stop

Alkmaar and Hearts away - compete disaster and cost any realistic chance in those important matches

At best he is not ready yet to play in Scottish premier - question if he will ever be ready but he certainly isn’t good enough for us if we are to have any chance

The Finn has been on the books for a reasonable amount of time now. The assessment made of him appears to be that he is also not good enough

If he was good enough would expect he’d have started today

I don’t know what Jack Newman is like - been on loan at Peterhead a while. Jimmy Mc presumably rates him. Very young and don’t know if he is ready

Other option is Zander Clark but we’d have to sell on, move on and get rid of others presumably to make this happen

Goalkeeper is the key position.

It’s no mistake Sir Alex has players like schmeichel to win him all those matches.

Our own success was built on strong keepers

This needs sorted pronto

Been saying this all season

If you don’t have a decent goalkeeper you get relegated

Calamity Birighitti always has a mistake in him

Goals are won or lost by single goals

Alkmaar he started the rout

I thought it was bad enough he let in the first goal, awful in itself as we had to chase the game from there

That second goal he gifted them puts him up the as the worst ever or close

Went from golf to push for a deserved winner (imo) to losing the game in a minute due to that clown, the team were disgusted by it

Newman for the rest of the season?

There have been other seriously flawed keepers in our history, but this **** really is horrendous! Worse than Zwick and thon other **** that was here at the time!

Actually, see if Carljohan is recalled, we are fecked!

That's the worst part tbh, absolutely self inflicted!

Could have signed a decent keeper, didn't.
Could have replaced Nicky Clark, didn't.
Could have replaced Tony Watt, didn't.

Problems run deeper than a dodgy keeper though.

Oh yeah, and start preparing for the Championship.

The fans have been brilliant last few years backing the club to the hilt. But zero payback from the club. Most of the players have been let down too. They needed some reinforcement in Jan. But we're given f all.

Absolute negligence by utd. We knew for months we would be needing a new keeper for this season & did nothing. Self inflicted madness thats going to cost us big time

Is it not time we sacked the goalkeeping coach? Apart from the jinx factor that he was here when we got relegated last time, what the **** is he actually doing that makes him worthy of a wage when we have got an utterly hopeless **** between the sticks that gets worse and worse!
