I think it comes down to how serious we are about getting promoted. If we are serious we don’t “try out” or “give someone a go”. If we are happy to finish mid table this season then I can’t see any problem.

Likewise the young kid just started in our warehouse - if he puts the wrong items in numerous customer boxes then nobody should get on his back despite the huge cost to the business. After all he’s only a young lad!
So, Man Utd give us De Gea on loan and first game he lets a soft one roll through his legs; what do we do, say sod off back to Old Trafford after that one game? We all regret Palmer getting injured but when he’s back there will be a few mistakes in him, as there is in every keeper.

Don’t disagree with the sentiments Ketts but each time he has the ball at his feet - I was nervous and the defence looked nervous. The goal was not a howler but a decent keeper would have stopped it in my opinion.

I want Griffiths to do well but also want Dike to do well who is one year older! Should those who knock Dike give him some slack too?

Watford and Boro will hammer the crosses/shots in and we can’t afford to lose any more points. I hope Griffiths is a hero as he needs to be!

Championship - great keeper and a ruthless goal scorer like Mitrovic or the lad at Boro. That’s what gets you promoted! No room for passengers

You’re not wrong Al, but we have the squad that we have, that’s what CC has to work with. We all knew that the squad was thin on real quality but we know whose fault that is. I agree that having a rookie keeper doesn’t really help our cause but that’s reality; same with Dike, I hope he comes good but who knows, he may knock in a hat trick against Watford! I’m not betting on that, by the way! In my opinion, we are competing for sixth place, I honestly don’t think that we will finish above sixth! Just think, had we had CC as manager from the season’s outset, instead of Potato Head, we would probably be almost nailed on for a playoff place. Things are what they are, though.

As a ‘p.s’ to that last post, if Dike does score a hat trick against Watford, I think that I should get a shed load of bonus points in the prediction league! What say you, Phil?

If Dike scores a hat trick against Watford then I am sure Mick will volunteer to run around the Vine naked!

The ‘mistake’ was made by Molumby. Lack of experience, but he is a relative youngster and hopefully will learn to curb his petulance, which has been prevalent. Notwithstanding, he shows commitment and spirit and Carlos and the senior players will guide him. Pleased he got on the scoresheet.
