I certainly didn't see anything in Bridge tonight that would put him ahead of the goal machine, Adam Chicksen. At the moment we've got a genuine goal threat from LWB and multiple creative threats from RWB. I trust our recruitment folks and I'm sure Bridge is better than tonight suggested, but I don't think we're badly served for LWBs as it is. Joel Taylor's not bad when he's on his game.
Like I've said above, Bostock's now match sharp and in the last two home games he's been given much more freedom to get forward, leaving Matt Palmer more space to perform the deep role. Bostock has the quality on the ball to pose a huge attacking threat at this level.
Two of the four goals tonight came from Bostock crosses, with Sam Austin doing the finishing.
And yes, Jodi Jones is class. The only question was whether his abilities had been diminished by serious injuries, but not on the evidence so far. He's another one whose best is probably still to come, given that he's building up match fitness too. It's scary... in a nice way!![]()
