Howlin Wolf did it but don't think he wrote the oridginal,
It was credited to Bunky Oden (sp?) and possibly a co-writer on the Tons Of Sobs label, as I recall. I think Koss hit peak Koss tone and emotion-wise in the short solo on Oh I Wept. Or the full-length The Stealer.
Edit: Spotify says that it’s James B Oden’s song. I’ll check the second pressing vinyl later when I dare to open the press in the tiny ‘spare’ room.
