No idea- a few years back, he was a shell of his former self, incoherent, and just not the same person.
Rumours went around on here that it was Drink / dementia / coke or combination of these
We already bundled one manager out in the boot of a car- let’s not go down that path again

If it was any of the things noted, hope he got the right help and is doing ik, but think his days of managing a club are behind him

Wasn't there some sort of incident before McLeish's last game as Scotland manager?

There was something went on - then the team were pumped 3-0 by Kazakhstan

According to Big Red after the Darvel result he is a big mate of Dave Cormack

… I heard bleach, lighter gas, glue, heroin, cannabis etc too. I do so hate unfounded speculation though, so I’ll say he has an occasional off day, as we all do. What ****e people speak - McLeish is as decent as they come.

    Totally agree with this ^

Not that I’ve ever played pool with Alex McLeish or anything I have actually bumped into him a few times over the years and he comes across as a sound bloke.

    The guys a Dons legend.

Never said he wasn’t a decent bloke- I did say I lost a bit of respect for him when he was at the Hun though

And the bit about his health- whatever it was, it wasn’t having an odd ****e day, but it was discussed quite widely on here a few years ago

What are your thoughts on him being our next manager?

Don’t think I would personally want Alex McLeish as our next manager as he is too old which is the same as Strachan.

Kind of feel Alex McLeish gets disrespected by a lot of fans with people questioning his mental health and hinting at him having a drink problem.

I think there are a few Gothenburg greats who have more problems than Alex McLeish has but people seem to ignore them.

Personally I don’t know what sort of state McLeish is in but I would imagine it’s a lot better than the state Neil Lennons in.

I’d certainly give him a shot but I doubt very much that he’d give us any serious consideration. Why? The reasons elude me ….

It was assumed Strachan was the guy, but Big Eck? Not sure how his health is, but his spouting allegiance to the Hun , taking brown envelopes etc got to be honest I lost a fair bit of respect for him, despite him being the best centre back in red that I can remember
And he's a NO voting cvnt.. That alone should rule him out.. tho did spot him lookin at hooses in Rubslaw Den
