Long long before that tbh. Not a knee jerk reaction, a thought out solution whereby the statement should be saying we have parted company with Liam Fox and X joins us as interim coach tomorrow morning.
Forward planning, not just "let's give Charlie a go for a couple of weeks"
In an ideal world mate this wld be the case. However we are dealing with a man who said only last week that we went for players we cld not afford. Fox was the stand out candidate and that the 5 year plan i still on track. So nope I think the knee jerk reaction will be exactly what we get with Mulgrew bowman and possible still Crawford in place for Saturday.

Very rarely does anyone 'join as interim' immediately the sacking of a manager. I can't think of that happening ever tbh. The natural process is someone at the club taking charge until an appointment has been made.
It would be (prior contact) if it was taking a coach from another club, but not if we're appointing a coach that's currently unattached.

It would be pretty disrespectful to our own coach, nevermind anyone else.

We disagree then. It happens all the time.

You don't wait until a coach is actually fired to start looking for a new coach.

When Ogren came in I half expected us to get flooded with American players and an American coach at one point. I was wrong however, I expect our next manger to be Ugandan.

It maybe does, but it's still disrespectful! Is that not what we're debating?

Fwiw I don’t think you’d make contact prior to a sacking but you should have in mind who an ideal candidate would be for a permanent appointment

I am worried - the list of interviewees when we appointed fox was dire

Is it disrespectful to have a list of contacts and ask them the question "i know you're not working at present, just say, hypothetically, there was a vacancy, would it interest you?"

    I would say it's good business 😎
