Shona Robison will probably be the next person to resign as a Scottish Government minister as she is a pal of Nicola Sturgeon.

Tories can't be held to account for missing money in Scotland but I'd like to see whitty, Johnson, Hancock, leitch and sturgeon jailed for crimes against liberty and freedom during COVID.

I'd like to see an examination of every contract handed out during COVID whether Scottish or UK.

I'd like to see the NHS torn asunder and rebuilt using a different model.

I'd like to be 6 foot.....ain't gonna happen.

You're right the Tories in Westminster can't be held to account for any money missing in Scotland. However what's missing in Scotland pales into insignificance compared to the Covid PPE contracts scandal / disgrace / shame or however we choose to describe it.

Try high heels, works for me.

I reckon that the missing £600k has been spent towards purchasing a house near Stirling.

I am sorry to disagree Deeranged but nobody has given even the slightest evidence that the claim that Scotland gets back a lot less than it pays onto the system is true. Nobody has refuted that Scots get back substantial amounts via pensions and benefits which is the whole point of this thread.
I think that the claim that Scots pay more tax to Westminster than they get back in direct grant, pensions and welfare benefits is a wrong.
If I am wrong then I will happily admit it but someone needs to provide the figures.

It is a key point. As those who want independence seem to believe that our tax donations to Westminster are greater than we get back.

The GERS figures published annually confirm that Scotland gets a lot more money from Westminster than it contributes to Westminster in tax donations. Needless to say the SNP politicians do not agree with these figures but if the GERS figures stated that Scotland hands over more in taxation to Westminster than it receives under the rules of the Barnett Formula you can be sure that the same SNP politicians would be continually ramming this information down our throats.

Islay, I think the GERS figures are a bone of contention. I don't think any argument can be won using them. The central argument of the SNP is that Scotland sends more money to Westminster than it gets back. Surely this is a simple calculation.
