Right now sinkov I would not confidently back them to beat either the Pumas or the Italians.

Neither would I with Farrell in, but with the team now being picked on merit, I'm expecting us to win far more than we lose from now. Or at least after the next two games, against arguably the two best teams in world rugby. At least they should tell us just where we are and whether we're progressing.

We peaked in 2003, I can still picture that Jonny Wilkinson drop kick.

And I still say Chris, that if Johnny Wilkinson had been playing for any other team in that WC, we wouldn't have won it, not even close.

Ten of us in a mate's house in Rishton all absolutely hammered watched Johnny's last kick sail over the crossbar.

His wife came home from a nursing night shift, made us all egg and bacon butties and then kicked us all out. Husband included!

I was watching in our house in France, with a couple of our French neighbours for company, they were just waiting to take the piss when Australia won, but Johnny shut the feckers up, very enjoyable.

I'm not really sure why Lineker rubs people up the wrong way. I criticise the Tories all day long at every opportunity and no-one at DSG says we need to change the editor.

Do you not believe in the concept of Freedom of Speech mon ami?

Lineker is free to say what he likes, but the BBC can only legally filch £160 a year out of my pocket and yours providing it's employees remain politically impartial in their public utterances. Lineker knew this when he signed his lucrative BBC contract worth millions, he was well aware of the guidelines, but he seems to be like another 'National Treasure', our erstwhile Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, he thinks the rules don't apply to him.

The solution is simple, agree to abide by the guidelines he knowingly signed up to like every other BBC employee has to, or resign and tweet away to his heart's content on every subject under the sun.
