Personally - Lineker isn't a news broadcaster so should be able to tweet whatever he likes, most people can see beyond the hysteria and demarcate between what he's paid to do & what he does when he's "out of the office". I'd hope the BBC hierarchy is calm and objective enough to reconsider their approach here.
I totally agree. Whether you like a presenter or not they are entitled to an opinion. Taking away people's voices and opinions are acts against human rights.
This government is trying to take away the right for peaceful protests. We are fast becoming a totalitarian state and people are more interested in Russia.
Power to the people as Lennon once said.

Do you really disagree with the Anti-Protest Bill though 1955? Give it a good read, all it says is that the police have powers to break up disruptive protests that are affecting public and businesses. So basically when it enters the 1000's. It stops people gathering for protest outside abortion clinics and gives enforceable laws to stop those who glue themselves to roads. There's some powers against those who lock themselves to things as well and a sentence for those who block tunnels (I didn't even know this was a thing!)

The left painted this as taking away rights for peaceful protests but actually it just stops the nonsense and protects people.
